Dr. Hala Taweel has worked and advised on the national and international level on strategic projects related to higher education, university administration, project development, and implementation with specific focus on the Middle East and North Africa region. With over 15 years experience in international higher education, public administration, and development, Hala is the co-founder and President of the University of the Middle East project, a non-profit institution based in Cambridge, MA. Having worked extensively in the United States, France, Spain, and Morocco, among other countries, she holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College's Lynch Graduate School of Education. She also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Human Science from Paris VIII University and a Diploma in Diplomatic and Strategic Studies from the Center for Law and Defense at Paris V University.
