Abraham's Vision

Benjamin Korman

Benjamin Korman is a Commercial Real Estate developer who has been living in New York City since 1985. Born in Israel to a fifth generation Jewish Israeli mother of Moroccan descent and a father who immigrated to Israel at age eleven from Poland, Benjamin had an opportunity to uniquely experience the effect of ethnic stereotyping and discrimination within the first few decades of Israeli society. Holding a BS in Civil Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU, Benjamin is also a member of Board of Directors of the Friends of Hudson River Park, an active member in the Catskills Heritage Association, an environmental group that is working to protect the Catskills region (in upstate New York), and an active member in the Sierra Club New York City Watershed Committee. Benjamin has committed a great deal of time learning, challenging, and grappling with the dominant Israeli historical narrative and how it relates to the larger political scope of Israel, Palestine, and the greater Middle East. Over the last decade he has dedicated himself to working with individuals and organizations that promote peaceful solutions to ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
