Adina Friedman (Vision Program Co-Director)

Adina Friedman is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Government at the Collage of WIlliam and Mary. She holds a PhD from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, an MA in Middle East History from Tel Aviv University, Israel, and an MS in Peace & Development Research from Goteborg University, Sweden. She has taught at a number of universities, including George Mason University, University for Peace in Costa Rica, Eastern Mennonite University, American University, and at the Middle East Institute; most recently she has also taught Middle East Studies and Conflict Analysis & Resolution at the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University since 2004. Adina grew up in Israel, and has worked and traveled extensively throughout a number of Middle Eastern countries. Her research and work has largely focused on projects concerning refugees, culture and education, environment, and co-existence. Along with Palestinian colleagues, she runs workshops and other conflict resolution activities for Arabs, Israelis and Americans in on- and off-campus settings. Adina has published a number of articles, chapters and encyclopedia entries on conflict resolution and on the Middle East.
