Rangineh Azimzadeh (Unity Program Co-Facilitator)
Rangineh Azimzadeh graduated magna cum laude from Portland State University with a BA in Communications Studies. Upon graduation, she traveled to Cyprus to study International Mediation and Conflict Resolution, focusing on Middle East conflicts. Between 2003 and 2009, Rangineh was a fellow at the Institute of International Public Policy, during which time she completed a Master's degree program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, with a concentration in International Conflict Resolution and Negotiation. Prior to attending graduate school, Rangineh worked for a private consulting company for two years which worked on organizational change, personal transformation, and social justice. She also attended the Summer Intensive Language Program at Middlebury College, where she studied Arabic. In addition to studying and traveling in Iran and Italy, Rangineh has spent time in the West Bank as a Peace Fellow with the Advocacy Project where she advocated for Palestinian workers’ rights. Committed to long-term peace building through the use of sustainable measures—including advocacy, empowerment of local communities, and Track I and II diplomacy—in her spare time, Rangineh enjoys spending time with family, friends, and leisure travel.
