Wafaa Sabil (Unity Program Co-Educator)

Wafaa Sabil is a professional architect with a diverse portfolio ranging from affordable housing projects to community centers and retail stores. She earned undergraduate degrees through the University of Paris VI and the University of Montreal, and received an MA in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. For a number of years she has taught and mentored international students in design, architecture, and engineering at Stanford University. Currently, she is working with EHDD, a renowned Bay Area architecture firm that focuses on designing aquariums, libraries, and institutional buildings. Through EHDD, she was previously involved with such important projects as the renovations of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the New City College of San Francisco, Chinatown/North Beach campus. For the past six years, Wafaa has volunteered with Rebuilding Together as a Project Captain, managing design and construction for several facilities including the Mission Cultural Center. She is passionate about sustainable architecture and enjoys practicing yoga and ceramic art in her free time.
